This little Helper provides you with the ability to track your Gathering-Findings!
It records when you gather something and lets you find your way back to that specific node later on.
Trackable Things are:
- Treasure Chests / Lockbox
Once you harvested a node, the data will be stored and for the next few findings ignored
(since you don’t want to be pointed back from where you just came).
After some findings (Default is 5 but you can increase the Amount in a dense vegetated area if you want to), these nodes will be activated again and shown on your little Compass.
The Compass lures you then with a pointing Arrow and a Color-Indicator to the nearest node – once you reach this node the Compass will search for the next node and point in its direction!
After having scanned a Map for a while you will be guided over the map straight to the points you search!
The Compass allows you to adjust the Settings for each of your Character individual so that you can search for Treasures on your little Nightblade whilst hunting for Plants and Water on your Main. Although the Settings are Char-Individual, the Nodes will be shared among them!
You can find the Settings in your Game-Settings under “LucysCompass”.
Last but not least: This AddOn also comes with a tool for Analysis of your gathered Data and a Merge-Tool, which lets you merge your achieved Data with Others! The Analysis-Tool is basically a MiniMap that shows you the Nodes you harvested on a tiny, game-external Map. This gives you a visual feedback where you will be most successful while gathering your preferred Nodes and where you won’t find many!
A structured textbased Data-Analysis can now be found in the Settings-Panel
Since this is programmed as an Overlay you can also view it ingame. (Java needed)
For the MiniMap instructions see the MiniMap-Readme
For the Merge instructions see the Merge-Readme

MiniMap is an Overlay that shows you the Nodes gathered with LucysCompass in a MiniMap.
For Updating your Data you either have to Reload the UI or restart the Game – both will do.
After that, reload the MiniMap, see below.
This Map is handled by MouseClicks:
Left Click: Map Forwards
Right Click: Map Backwards
Left Click + Shift: Change Visibility of Nodes
Left Click + Alt: Reload MiniMap-Data
Right Double-Click + Shift: Minimize/Maximize Map
Right Click + Alt: Exit Map
With this Tool you can merge 2 Gathering-Datas together.
-Although this works with different languages, the nodes from the other language will only be shown if you switch the Game-Language to this specific language!
-Further, be sure to not run Elder Scrolls Online while doing this process, otherwise the Data will be reverted back to the original.
-Last but not Least, if something goes wrong, the tool creates Backups before the Merge – just rename them to LucysCompass.lua and drag them into your SavedVariables-Folder to revert the data to pre-merge-status. Also this should be done while not running the Game as well.
What you need:
-You must have launched the Game with LucysCompass active at least once
and properly shut it down for Elder Scrolls Online to create the SavedVariables.
-You also need the SavedVariables of someone else to merge with your Data.
This Data is located in the SavedVariables-Folder just beneath this AddOns-Folder.
Example: …MyDocuments/Elder Scrolls Online/liveeu/SavedVariables
The File has the same Name as the AddOn – LucysCompass.lua.
ATTENTION: Be careful to NOT to take the one in the AddOns/LucysCompass-Folder – this is the AddOn itself and wont work.
How you do it:
-Once you got the right File, copy it into the following Path:
…MyDocuments/Elder Scrolls Online/liveeu/AddOns/LucysCompass/Patch
-Launch the Merge.jar with a Double-Click and follow the Instructions.
1: Source not found.
You haven’t copied a LucysCompass.lua to the Patch Folder, be sure to do so and don’t change its Name.
2: Destination not found.
You need to launch the Game first and activate the AddOn. Then ReloadUi or shutdown the game again for it to create your own SavedVariables.
3: Source invalid.
You might have copied the AddOn itself – be sure to copy the file from the SavedVariables folder – see above.
